Owner Heather Pullano Highfield ( Pictured with her husband Bruce)
Ever since birth Heather was a fashionista!! Her favorite hobby from age 2 on was shopping with her Grandma. Heather had the style, and grandma had the money!
Always fashion forward , Heather was sought to help dress her friends and was personal stylist to many just for fun. She loved being able to help others feel better about themselves and their style with just a few touches, upgrades and accessories. A graduate of Bowling Green State University in Ohio, she received a degree in Art & design. After graduation she taught art but always worked summers, holidays and weekends in retail. Her dream was to own her own fashion boutique. Living in Florida for the last 20 years she developed a love of boutique shopping. When she moved to St. Charles Missouri she discovered that the predominant shopping sources were “big box” stores and that unique and designer apparel that was aplenty in Florida, was not to be found in St. Charles county. She talked to woman who wanted fashion forward, and unique contemporary apparel but could only go “over the river” to receive it. So, it boutique & more was born.
Heather is the buyer, visuals leader and manager of the store. Her loves are her family, a great fitting pair of jeans and Stella & Dot Jewelry. Her pet peaves are box store marking up prices on merchandise to put them “on sale” to make the consumer feel they are getting a deal AND knock off merchandise!! Her moto…if you love something buy it! You will wear or use it all the time. Look in your closet or home at all the “things” that you buy that were such a “great deal” and ask yourself, how often do you wear , or use them. Combine the cost of them all and you could have bought what you loved in the first place!!!
Her best advice: Invest in some great basics. 1. A GREAT fitting pair of jeans. Most women purchase their jeans too big or buy what is cheaper instead of what fits best. They will never be happy with the end result. 2. Add to your denim a couple of well made basic solid tops. These are your “go too” pieces. Make sure they will last at least 2 seasons and remain on trend. Unfitted t-shirts went out 20 years ago, burn out fabrics are all the rage! 3. Don’t wait until you “ drop a couple of pounds”. I see beautiful women everyday who dress in tragic moo moos or old styles because they are not the “size” they want to be. Embrace where you are, find fashions that enhance what you have. A tent or 12 year old tapper leg denim doesn’t look good on anyone.
